It has been so humorous and catchy that soon became viral. Since 2012 when it has been realised many videos and several games came out under the same catchy name. The main message of the commercial is that we should be careful around trains, simply because it would be a very dumb way to die!

Dumb Ways to Die

Stupides façons de mourir

Set fire to your hair
Mettre le feu à vos cheveux
Poke a stick at a grizzly bear
Enfoncer un bâton dans un grizzly
Eat medicines that’s out of date
Manger des médicaments périmés
Use your private parts as piranha bait

Dumb ways to die, so many dumb ways to die (x2)
Stupides façons de mourir, tellement de stupides façons de mourir

Get your toast out with a fork
Sortir votre toast avec une fourchette
Do your own electrical work
Faire vous-même votre électricité
Teach yourself how to fly
Apprendre par vous-même à voler
Eat a two week old unrefrigerated pie

Dumb ways to die, so many dumb ways to die (x2)
Stupides façons de mourir, tellement de stupides façons de mourir

Invite a psycho-killer inside
Inviter un tueur psychopathe à entrer
Scratch your drug dealer’s brand new ride
Take your helmet off in outer space
Enlever votre casque dans l’espace
Use your clothes dryer as a hiding place
Utiliser votre sèche-linge comme cachette

Dumb ways to die, so many dumb ways to die (x2)
Stupides façons de mourir, tellement de stupides façons de mourir

Keep a rattlesnake as pet
Sell both the kidneys on the internet
Vendre ses deux reins sur internet
Eat a tube of super glue
Manger un tube de Super Glue
“I wonder what’s this red button do?”
“Je me demande à quoi sert ce bouton rouge?”

Dumb ways to die, so many dumb ways to die (x2)
Stupides façons de mourir, tellement de stupides façons de mourir

Dress up like a moose during hunting season
Disturb a nest of wasps for no good reason
Stand on the edge of a train station platform
Drive around the boom gates at a level crossing
Run across the tracks between the platforms
They may not rhyme but they’re quite possibly

Dumbest ways to die (x3)
Les plus stupides façons de mourir
So many dumb
Tellement de stupide
So many dumb ways to die
Tellement de stupides façons de mourir
