Who we are?
Spoken French creators` petit histoire
I am Marina, I am passionate about the French language. I came from a small cold country named Estonia to France to do my exchange studies and met Mitsu, who is also finishing his degree, but as a local French student. Regardless that I learned French for several years before, the language practice was needed. I had to adapt and become familiar with features of spoken language. Mitsu has started to help me with it.
As you can guess, we present learner`s side, and native speaker`s side, and together we actually learn more about French language (and culture). Later we found out that, what we shared can be interesting for anyone who wants to learn French, visit France or just interested in French culture. I faced the same struggles with the language, asked the same questions as you probably can and will have. At the same time, much of information Mitsu gave about the language could not be found in any school books or learning programs, which simply do not correspond to modern French. We started to do articles and now plan to continue with videos and all good and exciting ideas we can find along the way.
Why we do what we do?
It is simple – we both love it. We do what we love and we love what we do. We want you to learn French with pleasure and interest, and show you that it is actually not a hard thing and the aim is achievable! We believe that sharing with all of you is a big contribution into our learning-understanding process.
Why learning French?
Mitsu: learning French when you come to France is, in my opinion, the best way to discover our country and truly get to know French people.
Marina: to me, it reflects fascinating French culture, including people, cuisine, music, humor and etc. I do not want to sound banal, but I find that French is just incredibly beautiful! By the way, we speak 11 languages in total.
We realized that the gap between classical formal French and spoken is too big. Existing online and offline courses do not specify on the spoken part. Generally, in the existing courses French language is separated from French culture. Our aim is to unify both and to regard the language through the culture.
We want you to have a good time reading, learning, and discovering through our website France and French culture, so that once you need to apply your language skills, you will be confident, or once you come to France, you will have an amazing experience!
